Matt Taibbi, the journalist who was responsible for the initial publication of the controversial “Twitter Files,” is currently working on the second installment of the series. Or, at the very least, he is returning to offer a supplement to the first round while the second round is still being worked on.

Attempts To Control The Narrative
As per Taibbi, James Baker, a former high-level FBI officer who was the general counsel for Twitter and who injected himself into the release in an attempt to “vet” the data that were finally made public, tried to involve himself in the situation. Baker’s role as a middleman was not brought to Elon Musk’s attention.
On Tuesday, RedState reported that Baker was dismissed, and according to Taibbi’s most recent thread, we now understand why he was fired.
The process for producing the “Twitter Files” involved delivery to two journalists (Bari Weiss and me) via a lawyer close to new management. However, after the initial batch, things became complicated.

According to Taibbi, the following episode of “Twitter Files” will be dominated by controversy, which means that the reporter Bari Weiss will be among those whom he has angered. It would appear that as he was working on his portion of the endeavor, he came to the realization that a person on the backend was acting as a curator of the content that was being made available. After inquiring as to the identity of the person, he found out that it was none other than James Baker.
What About the Deep State’s Russia Hoax?
Baker isn’t a new name; everyone at this point should be familiar with his antics and reputation. He had a significant role in the Steele Dossier and was a member of the FBI team that was behind the “Russian collusion” lie that was used to try to bring down Donald Trump’s presidency.
Since government operatives who toe the line always have a pipeline to the private sector, it is only natural for him to step down from that position to accept a high-paying job as general counsel for Twitter.
It would appear that Baker was attempting to cover up some aspect of what he was doing in order to protect himself from the fallout of the “Twitter Files.”
According to Musk, his answer was insufficient, which is what led to his dismissal from the company. Now that Baker is no longer involved releasing the data should proceed without interruption. There are rumblings that Weiss’s study will result in an extremely valuable product since such whispers have been heard.
The Twitter files are certainly an important revelation that show how far we’ve fallen as a country. Imagine a tech company full of rabid leftists having this much power over our free speech rights?
