The events of January 6, 2021 are something the Democrats won’t let go. As they claim we need to heal the past and respect “democracy,” the left is doing everything it can to ruin people’s lives over taking selfies in the Capitol last year.
Now, to be fair, some people did get rowdy. The 2,000 or so individuals who entered the Capitol in DC included some who were very angry and believed the 2020 election had been stolen.
But the vast majority did not assault or threaten anyone, and the deaths on that day were only of Trump supporters, including unarmed veteran Ashli Babbitt.
Now one of those unarmed protesters has been sentenced, and he’s not happy one bit.
Meet Dustin Thompson From Ohio
Dustin Thompson comes from Ohio and is a strong Trump supporter. He has been on trial for going inside the Capitol building and stealing a coat rack.
Yes, you read that right. He didn’t swear at cops or try to hurt anyone. He didn’t smash windows or push against police.
He went into an office next to the Senate and started having some fun shoplifting. Specifically, he grabbed a bottle of whiskey and a coat rack. Maybe he was thinking of their value on the collectibles market?
However, this proved to be a very costly mistake.
Thompson was already found guilty of stealing from the government and other crimes from January 6 related to unlawfully entering the Capitol.
On Friday he found out the bad news: he’s spending the next three years in jail.
Yes, three years behind bars for lifting a coat rack and some booze from an office.

Something’s Rotten…
In the famous play “Hamlet,” the lines are famously said that something is “rotten” in Denmark.
It has to be said that something’s very rotten right now in the United States. If you had to put a name to it, that would be easy: the radical left.
These fanatics have seized power of the administrative state and are exercising their will over the American governmental system.
Punishing and humiliating the J6 protesters is just one way in which they hope to scare the daylights out of anyone who would dare stand up to them again.
This is a deep state show of force, and regular people like Thompson are paying the price, being forced to go live as hardened criminals for one bad choice.

The Bottom Line
Thompson has said sorry. What he did was stupid. Why steal two useless things from the Senate?
Is this guy a genius who never makes mistakes? Clearly not.
But who among us is? We all make mistakes and we all sometimes get carried away with politics or with our beliefs.
Do we want to be sent to jail for three years for that?
And by the way, when are the stiff sentences coming down for those who burned our cities in the summer of 2020 due to supposedly support BLM?
