Biden’s Open-Borders Policy Pollutes Communities

It is not global warming, COVID, or mass shootings, but rather fentanyl that is the greatest cause of death in young Americans between 18 and 45 in the United States.

Alarming Statistics

The spread of this lethal narcotic has devastated neighborhoods across Texas and the United States, taking the lives of loved ones, acquaintances, and friends.

There are far too many people who die, due to drug overdoses. Between 2019 and 2021, the number of drug fatalities in Hays and Travis counties in Texas’ 25th Congressional District increased.

There was a 670 percent increase in fentanyl-related deaths in Texas between 2015 and 2021. In 2021, drug overdose deaths surpassed 100,000 for the first time in the history of the United States.

This is a critical situation. During last year, the United States Customs and Border Protection saw a 1,066 percent increase in fentanyl found in South Texas.

That’s enough to kill each and every American about seven times over. People should be upset and disturbed over the influx of dangerous narcotics onto our streets. This should be of concern to everyone.

Mexico surpassed all other countries as the primary source of domestic fentanyl supply. The majority of the substance is brought into the United States by gangs with operational control of our porous southern border, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

In the last year alone, almost 9.5 million counterfeit pills were recovered, indicating these criminal companies are flooding the United States with counterfeit pharmaceuticals at an alarming rate.

Biden and His Liberal Groups

Due to President Biden’s decision to turn his back on Border Patrol personnel and his refusal to patch breaches in the wall, his administration’s open borders plan allowed fentanyl to freely flow through our border.

Biden has also empowered drug gangs to expand their operations in Texas towns. Republicans know they are in the midst of a crisis and are addressing it head-on.

There is now support and awareness of the “HALT Fentanyl Act.”

This would permanently designate fentanyl as a Schedule One narcotic, a classification reserved for substances with no recognized medical value and a significant potential for misuse.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is presently preventing this legislation from being put to a vote on the floor of the House.

As if Democrat obstruction wasn’t enough, Biden’s Department of Justice wants to establish federal “safe injection sites.” This would allow the creation of government-funded facilities that would basically hinder the fight against drug addiction and overdoses.

There have been grave reservations about this potentially deadly idea.

Biden and his legion of liberal activists have forsaken their responsibility to safeguard the public. Instead, they favored opening our border to illegal immigrants and keeping narcotics on the streets of the United States of America.

It is past time to take action; we must advocate for legislation that saves lives, discourages future drug consumption, and prevents narcotics from being trafficked into our communities, among other things.
