Joe Biden Believes Hunter Biden Didn’t Do Anything Bad in China

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has been under criminal investigation by the Justice Department for months.

The Justice Department has been investigating Hunter for his deals with China. However, Joe Biden’s chief of staff, Ron Klain, said the president is confident his son didn’t break any laws.

In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s This Week, he mentioned Biden has the utmost confidence in his son’s activities in the Asian country.

Confidence or Optimism?

Klain parroted Biden’s confidence in Hunter. He, however, noted the most important thing is the Justice Department will decide the matter.

He also hoped there’d be an end to the matter soon. Klain further chipped in that the White House is not involved in the process at all.

The show host also asked Klain if Biden was sure there were no ethical lines crossed by Hunter when he received millions of dollars from China.

Klain replied there were no lines crossed. According to him, the issue is private, and it does not involve President Biden or anybody at the White House.

Klain spoke with utmost certainty that Biden does not believe his son did anything wrong. However, we did not expect him to say Biden has some doubts. Doing so would hang a dark cloud over the president and his family.

Hunter Biden and China

Per confirmed reports, top officials of the CEFC energy company, linked with the Chinese Communist Party, paid $4.8 million to entities under Hunter Biden and James Biden’s control.

Documents also show that Hunter Biden was profiting from his father’s relationships in public service.

With China being a ‘sworn enemy’ of the United States, it raises questions about why our president’s son should be in deals with a company linked with the Communist Party of China.

Hunter Biden has always denied any wrongdoing. Earlier in December 2020, he maintained that his dealings with the Chinese company were appropriate and legal.

Besides, the Biden-Harris transition team also noted that the incoming president (Joe Biden) was incredibly proud of his son, Hunter.

According to the New York Times, many people familiar with the Hunter Biden situation believe that Joe Biden is in the dark about his son’s inquiry.

Kate Bedingfield, the White House’s communications director, was asked if the White House stands with Biden’s previous comments about trusting his son. She replied, “we 100% agree with the president’s comment.”

In light of this, not only does President Biden claim to trust his son’s dealings, but White House officials also echo the same thoughts.

It will be interesting to see how the Department of Justice handles the case in the coming months. However, one thing is clear; the outcome will have effects on the Biden administration.
