TOP CONSERVATIVE Mocks Trump, Gets CHEERED

Chris Christie is a failed presidential candidate and an unpopular governor who used to be one of Trump’s top allies.

Now Christie senses the mood shifting and is trying to take advantage of it, blaming Trump for recent losses in the midterms and saying that the former POTUS is the reason conservatives are struggling.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

On Tuesday, November 15, during the annual meeting of Republican Party governors Christie was applauded for making harsh criticism of former President Trump.

Irony of fate or not, the annual meeting took place in Orlando, near Trump’s luxury residence at Mar-a-Lago, where Trump, hours later, announced his candidacy for president in 2024.

Who Was There?

At the meeting, in addition to Republican governors were also present, consultants and high-ranking donors of the party.

The following governors were present at the meeting:

  • Pete Ricketys – Nebraska
  • Doug Ducey – Arizona
  • Mike DeWine – Ohio
  • Bill Lee – Tennessee
  • Charlie Baker – Massachusetts
  • Chris Sununu – New Hampshire
  • Among others…

Christie getting cheered and applauded here is definitely a sign of how wishy-washy many conservatives can be. Now I’m not saying each one of these people applauded him, but in general the Republican establishment is turning on Trump and has decided he’s old news.

Christie just made it official.

Christie: It’s Trump’s Fault!

According to Christie, the main culprit for the defeat of some Republicans in the last election is Trump.

No wonder, the former-Trump supporter turned his back on his idol. He wants to run for POTUS in 2024, obviously.

Christie pointed out some facts during his speech.

He claimed that many of the Republican candidates are chosen just because they are loyal to Trump.

He added that disappointment in the recent midterm elections is not only restricted to that year, but also in the 2020 and 2018 elections.

As an example of the party’s fall in the last election, Christie cited the loss of Pennsylvania candidate Doug Mastriano, a major politician endorsed by Trump.

Doug Mastriano lost the election to Democrat Josh Shapiro by a significant 15 points.

Christie made a point of remembering that he was against the nomination of extremist candidates from the Trump line.

For him, Mastriano’s defeat in Pennsylvania was obvious ahead of time and was Trump’s fault for backing the man.

Christie Cranks Up the Criticism

In Arizona, Republican Kari Lake lost the election to Katie Hobbs of the Democratic Party.

Not for nothing, Arizona’s Doug Ducey was one of those who applauded at Christie’s speech.

The negative results of these elections, especially by trump-backed candidates, have caused their strength in the party to shudder.

Much of the Republican Party is turning more to support Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the 2024 presidential election.
